Gas Mask Guards are first encountered in the Catacombs. They are equipped with assault rifles, like normal guards, but do without flashlights in favor of night vision goggles. They also, of course, wear gas masks, making them immune to the deadly effects of poison gas as well as the disabling effects of upgraded Smoke Bombs.
Their night vision goggles makes them vulnerable to the blinding effect of Distraction Flares.
