The Hisomu Clan is an ancient ninja clan operating in the modern day. They eschew most technology, instead opting to use the tools and techniques honed over the centuries. The primary source of strength for their clan is the tattoo ink made from the unique Desert Flowers that grant a chosen ninja of their clan superhuman strength and senses but at the cost of the chosen's sanity. They are descended from Tetsuji and his followers. They have begun to lose their strength over the recent years as the current head of the clan, Azai fails to preserve the Desert Flowers, causing to wither away to extinction.
To preserve the clan, Azai seeks to modernize the clans by stealing technology from Hessian Corp to equip the clansmen.
